About our guides:
We make great, interactive travel guides.
To make our guides we use the content that is freely available. Open content sites like Wikitravel, Wikipedia, World66 and Openstreetmap are among the best resources for any traveler. Our mission is to make that content relevant for you. So we mix and mash and annotate - and we distill great, relevant travel guides out of it.
We like open content. In fact some of us were involved in World66, one of the first open content travel guides on the web. Our travel guides are very much a re-mix of open content out there.
Currently we're using content from: Wikipedia, Wikitravel, World66, Open Streetmaps, DMOZ and Chefmoz
We're big fans of these projects. If you stumble across some inaccurate information in this guide, we would appreciate
it if you correct it on the web site of these projects.
The latest version of our app has some exciting features. We have a new mapping solution that allows for a better experience and more accurate information. We updated our travel guide data to ensure you get the latest recommendations. Finally, we standardized our flow for booking hotels, tours and attraction tickets on our platform through our partners. Happy travels!

A Handy, Useful App
I've used Triposo to help plan both of my trips to Italy. It aggregates food, lodging and sightseeing information from a variety of sources (including app users) and presents it all in an easy to use, well organized way. It is a handy, useful tool that supplements guides like Rick Steves, Fodor's and Lonely Planet.
I recently traveled to Italy and the Triposo Italy App was very helpful - from gauging the temperature to information and directions on various landmarks and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this app.
Great app, especially on phone so you can be a more discreet tourist. More places listed then i could imagine visiting in one trip. Great info on places of significance, perfect if you are curios, don't want to carry around a heavy book or pay to go on the Paid guided tours. I favorited places as i visited and now that im back looking at my pictures it has been great for figuring out what church picture is what, or why I took a picture of that particular painting, etc. Great app! No Internet or phone service required, worth a shot for free. Even worth it if you pay for it. I scoured the app store before my Italy trip and test several but this was by far better and we used it constantly while on vacation. I don't think you should use it for food suggestions I think that is probably an added bonus but not it's primary function.
