iTracer is an electronic Tracing Paper simulator allowing you to take a photo (iPad 2 and above only) or choose a photo and then draw over it.
The app comes with a set of useful and fun features including:
Pen Colour (Fully Customizable)
Pen X Ocillater
Pen Y Ocilator
Triple Tap To Clear
Pen Shape: Three Shapes are included in this first version Square, Circle and Rectangle. the first two are standard the third however (Rectangle) has a function it creates rectangles in a mathematical way, It looks at the velocity and angle at which you are drawing and creates rectangles accordingly. The slower you move the more smaller rectangles will be painted because as you draw slowly your finger has slight angle differences almost every millimetre. if you go fast you will see that your rectangles are larger and because you go fast only at certain intervals you change angle its at this point that a new rectangle is started. (more "Brushes" coming soon)
Pen Offset: This feature allows you to change the position of the actual brush relative to you finger ie. Set the Y slider to the highest and your brush will be above your finger so you can draw without your finger in the way.
Pen Randomiser: This is a (fun)ction that when turned on automatically moves the brush around your finger in a random way producing a "Graffiti Effect" you can set the speed at which it randomises.
Pen X and Pen Y Oscillators: These functions are similar to the previous except after selecting the speed of either one and starting it the brush moves in a straight line back and forth on the selected Axis allowing you to create Graphs, Spikes, Fences, etc.
The Pen's Offset can be reset to defaults by tapping on the Word "Offset" in the menu.
Anything you attempt to draw slides down, and then off the screen. There doesn't seem to be anything that can be done to stop it, either. Thank goodness it was only 99 cents because it was a waste of money.
