Making a Difference!
We travel extensively and have enjoyed using this app for our foreign language needs. It is a great asset, and we did not realize how great it truly is until now. We are now the primary care givers for our 93 year old mother, and we have some wonderful Cuban nurses taking care of her. Whenever our limited Spanish fails us, or their English fails them, we resort to this app and it has been a Godsend! It is truly easy to use and makes our mothers life better. Thank you itranslate for providing such a useful and easy to use tool for all of us!
Translations just plain wrong
About 50% of the time in translating Japanese and Spanish I will get translations that are wrong. Translations from English to Japanese will often give me the English word just in Katakana (Japanese pronunciation of the English word--some might argue that Japanese is just becoming a subset of English so this is accurate, but I'm working with real Japanese language as it's printed and spoken on the news). Translations from Japanese to English will give me translations all over the place (from romaji pronunciations of the kanji to words that have nothing to do with the original characters).
Spanish will just be confusing. I feel I cannot trust the translations. Sobrevivirás (you will survive) came out as "blown" in English... Needs some work, Microsoft.
Works great for a word or 2 translated, will update stars as I try more
I like having this handy app for looking up a word or 2, and the audio of pronunciation is very helpful. I haven't tried sentences or more and will update rating as I know more. Odd to imagine not having translate app on hand now, even for better understanding name or description of an imported product etc. Great way to learn a few words of language here & there as you need it & history lets you revisit your searches (probably a limited # in free version).
