UI and ad confusing but really is free
The first time I used it, I thought I had been duped into thinking it was FREE. I almost uninstalled it. When reading the reviews, I saw some were able to use it without paying the $2.99. So I tried it again. The UI is confusing. After dropping an archive file onto the app, the folder where you pulled the archive from re-appears, this time with a button in the lower-right corner asking you where you want to Extract the file to! I did not notice that detail the first time. The ad is just an ad. It’s not a trick. All my files were extracted and the next time I ran it, the files were automatically extracted into the same parent folder as the first time. With a little better UI, this would be a great unarchiver.
Great APP to extract files!
Before this one I used to use the izip, but I always failed to get correct title of files titled with language out of English. Everytime I extract file titled with Chinese or Japanese charactors, there would be a long serie of “-“ to instead the real charactor. It’s horrible to find files — I cannot recognize them only by the number of “-“.
But this App works extremely perfect! Nomatter what kind the files in—zip. or rar. or what language the files titled—I tried Chinese, Japanses, Korean and certainly English, the files are always with correct title. And what makes this App more nice is that only free version is enough for daily work!
And also I would love to buy the pro version if I really need it.
Worked where my others failed.
Let’s start by saying it got the job done, and done well. That being said, it’s not the most intuitive app I’ve owned, so a little more instruction would have been nice. As for the maker charging $2.99 for a good app that does what it says it would - get over it. How much is a cup of coffee at Starbucks? And you’re complaining about an app for $3? Granted, there was no indication by the author or by the App Store that there were “in-app purchases.” I didn’t see anyone complain that Apple dropped the ball on that one.
I gave it 4 stars not because of the cost, but because it just isn’t intuitive by my book. But no complaints, it worlked really well for me.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
