Welcome to Jack and the Beanstalk - Unlock the Story!
Our Jack and the Beanstalk app blurs the distinction between story and game more than ever before to create a completely new kind of reading experience for children: this is where on-screen gaming and reading meet.
Jack and the Beanstalk rewards success with more story, and encourages repeat play with endless variety. Play games in different rooms of the giant’s castle and collect keys to unlock more of the story - and capture the giant's treasure without waking him up to carry on playing!
Jack and the Beanstalk features:
An exciting, open environment to explore: find the right key to open nine different doors in the giant’s castle, each with unique games and characters behind them
Real consequence within the story: wake up the giant at different points in the narrative to create new ending
A totally non-linear narrative: work your way through the castle in a different order every time and experience different endings based on Jack’s progress through the castle
An emphasis on reading for pleasure that will be particularly good at encouraging reluctant boy readers who love on-screen gaming to participate in a reading experience
Innovative use of iOS device features: the app takes advantage of the fantastic potential of the front-facing camera, gyroscope, multi-touch screen, retina display and more

Cute but needs updating
My kid loves it but app Keeps crashing. App closes out when jack gets golden egg.
This book is worth every penny, maybe even more. We had so much fun playing this, my six year old and I. There is so much interactive play and creativity, and so many possibilities. This app could keep you involved in creative story fun for hours. There were a couple of times that this app made us gasp in excitement or surprise, there were many times that this app had us giggling and laughing. Also, this it is gorgeous. I don't think I can say enough great things about it.
The only problem now is that I want to purchase all the other Nosy crow apps.
The same problems as other interactive kids books by this developer....The characters go on repeat and it gets tedious with the same phrases being repeated unnecessarily. Even when you are doing a task they ask you to begin it, over and over... Also in the castle, all the servants repeat,"I do not know who you are, but I hope you can help me",a bit of variety would be nice. The colors are pretty, the story fine but the developers have not learned from past mistakes and improved. Oh and bats do not get tangled in people's, hair, no need to perpetuate false tales that are harmful to animals. I hope the next nosy crow app, gets rid of the repetition.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
