Addictive, Simple, and Useful Musical "Sketchbook"
As a musician, there are few things more frustrating than having a beat or melody strike in the middle of the day, only to lose it by the time I get home. JamDeck solves this problem for me by offering up an easy, intuitive, and engaging way for me to get the music out of my head and into a form I can use later. The selection of instruments gives me enough creative control to get that tune down in a similar way to what I'm thinking, the ability to upload that "sketch" to SoundCloud lets me share it with my colaborators, and the ability to import it into Ableton (and various other DAWs) makes sure that I can keep working on that track when I'm ready. Even with those features aside, the easy learning curve means I was cranking out tunes within minutes of the install and within the first hour, I had a few new ideas I'm excited about expanding on. Without question, JamDeck will prove to be one of the most frequently used tools in my creative process. This is an absolute must buy app for anyone in need of a lightweight musical sketchpad.
fun and inspiring!
JamDeck is a blast, within an hour of downloading it I had a killer loop with a bunch of variations I could juggle. It's got a unique workflow that's instantly inspiring and makes it easy to capture that inspiration. A welcome breath of fresh air in the world of music production software… recomended for old hands that want computer music to be fun again and aspiring producers looking for an easy way to break the ice!
A Valuable Creative Tool
JamDeck is a good time right out of the box. This tool lets me easily fool around with musical ideas. The freestyle recorder lets me just jam and stop when I hammer out something interesting, allowing me to cut the riff and use it in a project. With easy exporting to a number of popular softwares, I'd have no problem recommending JamDeck as a fun tool to compliment any creative workflow.
