Dated graphics and boring gameplay
The graphics are just plain ugly, and a lot of the actions are dated. Why in the world would I need to bring a phone to someone's hotel room? Lol! Jane must run one of the most low budget hotels in history. At least update some of the 80s graphics if you're going to port this to the iPad with Retina graphics.
The plot is pretty thin too. She's buying her family's old hotels with some sort of crazy loan shark type of money. If you played the first game in this set, you will be sorely dissatisfied with this sequel. What happened to all of her money from her fist set of hotels in the first game? So much for a cohesive plot...
You can't go back and replay levels either, upgrades are the same from hotel to hotel, as are many of the stock people visiting your hotels from location to location. There are many better games out there in this genre. I recommend any Playfirst or GameHouse game. My favorites are the CakeMania games and the Emily series. Please do yourself a favor and buy one of those instead of this one.
Gotta love Jane!!
I love the Jane time management games and am so relieved that I don't have to keep paying to play. The new trend of "free" games that you actually end up spending a small fortune to advance by making in-app purchases, is getting so out of hand that I am relieved to just buy my TM game and play it, advance, regardless of how much $$$ i have in the bank, and finish and then play again. I miss these games that you just purchase and play. I had to break my addiction to Stardom A-List because it actually ended up costing me $1,200 over a 2 month period. It crashed, I got horrible tech support which did not resolve my problem (thank goodness), so I look at it as divine intervention and thank my lucky stars that it doesn't load on my iPad anymore. spend the money on Jane's Hotel 2, you won't regret it.
Fun but not worth $7
I enjoyed this game but in retrospect, I really wish I hadn't paid $6.99 for it. It was way too easy with not enough levels. Yes, it says there are 60 levels, but the buyer should know that the majority of the levels are very easy and you whip through them fairly quickly, and there are only a handful of levels that are (slightly) challenging. As an adult, I was disappointed at how easy this game was to beat and that it only had four locations. The game is challenging for my 5- and 7-year olds, but not for me. I've paid $4.99 for much better games.
I think this game could be improved by adding more locations and making them more difficult. I would have been happy paying full price had the game had, say, 8 locations instead of 4.
