* Now tracking water radiation levels! *
Japan Radiation Map tracks geiger counter readings in Japan to display current radiation levels, in response to the Fukushima power plant accident. Higher than normal readings (above .114 μSv/hour) are highlighted in red.
Data is reported by various private and public institutions. This application is for informative/educational purposes only, and downloaded data is not guaranteed to be accurate.
What's New in Version 1.1
- Fixed bug where some readings were being incorrectly formatted
- Separate water annotations
- Added map legend
On balance, good at limited goals
App maps Japanese radiation levels, but needs to include evacuation zones. The App also needs definitions of the measurement scales used, and the levels that constitute a threat to human health. Finally, what the heck are the pointy, blue pinpoints?
Nice,but could be better
The radiation zone is not out,and I realised that the nuclear power plant was placed at the wrong location. But however, the app shows the nuclear radiation properly and how dangerous it is.
I hope that the developer would add in a table that shows the effect of radiation to the public.great job!
