Customer Reviews

It was good but...

It doesn't provide a full specific English translation. It just shows pictures. W Also the images at times are unclear, like in the professions unit you see a woman at a keyboard which could be a variety of professions. Also it does lack some of the basics, in fact I'm unsure how some people are learning without them. Especially when the provide sentences. For example it uses the phrase のみたい(nomitai) and のみます(nomimasu) which mean want to drink and will drink. Without an English translation provided literal beginners would not know the difference between the two. Another pet peeve is they use わたしは(watashiwa) for males at times when you're supposed to use ぼくわ(bokuwa) It is a good app if you already know the real basics of Japanese, and it did it's intended purpose for me, which is help me study over the summer for my Japanese 2 class. It's a good app, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone with no background knowledge of the language.

The best language apps!

English is my first official language, Spanish is my family language so second nature as well. I spent twelve years studying French in school and was fluent to college level. At age twelve I taught myself Japanese. At 16 I taught myself Italian. At 25 started studying Mandarin. I'm only 38 right now neurological illness has robbed me of my ability to keep my languages sorted in my head. They just all run together like water, I'm trying to relearn and these apps have been the vest so far. I bought Chinese Spanish French Italian and Japanese. I was so proud of myself for scoring 100 on the first test of each language. These are the best trust me I've studied languages my entire life. You will not be disappointed. I hope they add Russian because it's one language I have wanted since 5th grade, nerd alert!!! 

Amazing Learning App

This app is a great tool for learning Japanese! It is easy to use and it is also fun to use. The voices on the app are pleasant to listen to and are very clear. The app is filled with lessons that help you understand and speak common Japanese words! The immersion technique they use is very helpful too. I also like that the pictures are clear and you can understand them in relation to the words. Overall this is one of the best language apps I have ever used. It's fun, cheap, and very helpful! I would highly recommend this app to anyone who wants to start speaking Japanese or for people who want to be able to communicate with people who speak Japanese.
