App isn't good
While I'm a paying member of their services, I'm afraid the app isn't very good.
The first issue is that the app just feels sorta clunky. It's not optimized for a larger iPhone screen so it looks a little less sharp, graphics wise. Second, I have to constantly save my food entries or else I'll lose what I inputted. The splash screen about the app every time I launch it is also a pain.
It's just not an efficient app to add things into, compared to all the other competing apps in the App Store, like MyFitnessPal or LoseIt! I could forgive it if the app was simple to use, but it's not. My mother probably would get lost and give up. It's confusing to figure out and once you do, it's not efficiently optimized to add foods and meals quickly. It's food catalog seems anemic compared the above mentioned apps AND it's finicky on what it accepts. You have to type in the main food and then the subcategory, and if it's not in that specific order the search won't show anything. Other apps don't have this annoying habit. Also, other apps will remind you to fill in your log.
The only useful thing for this is cloud syncing with the website. I'm going to give up on this app and switch to MyFitnessPal instead to count my calories as I continue the in-person Jenny Craig program.
Good, but needs work
On tracking, would like to the option to see plans (1200 calorie menu 1, menu 2, etc) and check a box as I eat the food, take supplements, and complete activity in addition to having the option to track a customized plan. Need bigger food database that includes store brands, like Kroger yogurt. Would also like to scan barcode on product instead of using search.
Just what we needed
I have been a member of Jenny Craig for over 2 years with some great results. My only complaint was they did bit have a mobile app. Problem solved...!! The app is not just great but have an amazing experience, easy to track meals and activity. Highly recommend this app to everyone
