Worthless in its present form
First, how in the hell does this work? It was touted in David Pogue's column in the NYT and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it with a couple of huge trips coming up. I went to their support page and it goes nowhere.(page not found) So I went to their website and it doesn't even list this app anymore.
I understand I put in the day and date of my trip but then what? It tells me that I should avoid light at a particular time. Only problem is, my boss kind of likes it when I work during the day. I tried telling him that, "Boss, my iPhone says I need to avoid light right now and to sleep so I am gonna nap," but it didn't work. I know it's not supposed to be a definitive cure for jet lag but it would be nice if anywhere it told you the optimal time to start your pre-trip changeover. Should you start 2 weeks ahead of your trip? 3 weeks? 1 week? I know you can't do it within five days but like I said, it would be great if there was any info screen or help file at all.
This app is one of the more expensive I have bought and it is also the worst I have bought in its present form. If the developers would just tell us how to use it or actually put their support page up, that would be great. Until then, don't be a sucker like I was--skip it.
When to buy
It's important to note that you should buy this program at least 4 days in advance of travel. Otherwise, it will not allow you to set a departure earlier than 4 days from the current time/date. (Yes even if you backdate and then forward date your iphone).
Big bug needs to be fixed.
My Jet Lag bedtime alarm continues to sound each night even after the flight was cancelled, despite uninstall or reinstall. Very annoying!! I have emailed support twice with no response. Can't get the alarm to quit going off and it's been weeks since my flight. Even uninstalling and upgrading iPhone OS didn't Help. DON'T EVEN CONSIDER BUYING THIS PROGRAM UNTIL THEY FIX THIS BUG!!!!!
