Absolutely needed, clean and simple
Very simple to use and very similar to MSPaint on Windows. 90% of the time I only have very basic things to do, and this let's me do that. Other apps are much too complex, do way to much, and therefore make simple things hard.
If you need a simple paint program, that does get drowned in lots of advanced features, layers, photo effects, etc, get this.
It could have been a perfect replacement for MS Paint, if only...
Well, if anyone of you out there who is like me, just migrated from MS Windows to Mac OS X and would like to find a replacement or similar app like MS Paint, then this one is really close to MS Paint.
But when i need one function really most, i found out that this one doesn’t have it. This app can’t rotate picture !!! It can resize the pic/canvas, it can flip horizontally and vertically, but it can’t just rotate 90 deg left or right. What a waste!
Since MS Paint is free and i paid 5 dollars for this app, well, I think it’s just OK but could have been better as i consider rotating the pic is a basic function which is needed.
But then again, i found a way to rotate the pic by using the default ‘Preview’ app available in OS X. Hope this helps!
Unusable even for simple stuff
I tried to use the Paint Bucket to flood fill a background. Not only are there no settings for the Sensitivity of the flood fill, but the fill seems to operate as a Global Fill.
Its interesting, but unusable for even basic editing until more settings are added.
