Bug fixes and performance enhancements
Love the App. Some Suggestions
Would be great if the app had a calendar feature so you can track which days you worked out. Right now it’s just a list. A wider calendar view would let you see the big picture, and if you clicked on each date it would show you which workout you did. Anything to encourage you not to break the chain of consecutive workout days.
Also, on the exercises that requires you to switch sides halfway through, it calls out “switch sides” right at :15 and it takes a few seconds to get into the new position. Maybe have pause the clock for two seconds before continuing the countdown (one of the other 7m workout apps does that). Or have the three beeps beforehand so you could get ready to switch.
Better than some of the reviews state
I have been using this seven minute workout app for about a week now. At first it was a little confusing as I was unfamiliar with the exercises, but as I found the learn the exercises page on this app, I am more familiar and comfortable at doing these exercises without having to think about what the exercise actually is.
The gripe about having only seven seconds to prepare before the next exercise may be legitimate, however, when you go into the Smart Workout section of the app, the rest time is indeed 10 seconds.
It is comforting to know that this company really reads what everyone has to say about this app. I had a small complaint about side planks being one sided only, and in the very next update the side plank exercise switches halfway in between. Thank you for reading my review.
Overall I really enjoy this app. After only one week, I really feel invigorated, more energized, and my body is visibly more well-toned. The Smart Workout allows you to customize your workout routines. New updates added more exercises from which to choose. Nice job!
My favorite version of the 7-minute workout.
I’ve been doing 7 minute workout for about 3 years now. Have tried several version and this is my favorite. Having verbal cues is very important to me, as I am not watching my phone - these are accurate and sufficient to encourage good form (and, his Aussie accent is nice.) The movies are great when you are first learning the exercise - they also help demonstrate and inspire correct movement if you are a beginner. I like the additional workouts and the option for a smart workout. Maybe you could offer a paid version of this app that allows you to set goals and has accountability tracking?
I’m a healthy 60 year old woman and I can get through the difficult workouts (they're challenging, and I guess that’s the point of doing them in the first place.)
Also, would you please ask me to rate the app AFTER my workout - the request occurs as I open the app and all I want to do at that time is my workout. AND, why not have a “Rate This” link at the bottom of your launch screen - I had to specifically carve out time to come here to the iTunes store to rate this AFTER my workout.
