The sequel to one of Jules Verne's greatest adventures: Mysterious Island!
Return to Mysterious Island 2 begins with the crash of the helicopter that came to rescue Mina. She survived but is once again trapped on the island. All of a sudden, under her very eyes, an unknown disease afflicts the plants first, then the animal life. Mina explores the island to locate the infection source…
In Return to Mysterious Island 2 Jep becomes a character in his own right. The player switches from one character to another and maximizes the use of each other's talents depending on the circumstances: only Mina can use complex tools, combine objects and, of course, read the documents found in the course of the game; whereas Jep can climb places inaccessible to Mina, communicate with other monkeys and find numerous objects thanks to his sense of smell.
This Point&Click adventure uses 360° vision.
A faithful reproduction of the universe of Jules Vernes.
This game is not a copycat portage of the PC version but an adaptation for touch screens and mobile platforms.

Fixed iOS 6 Bug
Beautiful but unsolvable on iPad with my version
I can't get rid of Slugger either, and there is no way to advance the game without him leaving. I think this may be a bug in the iPad version , since all the walk throughs (which are for PCs) state that he simply leaves that spot at a certain point in the gameplay - after you've bandaged Mina, found her in the windmill, and fed Jep, you're supposed to be able to go back to Slugger's spot and find him gone, so you can pick up the ants. But he's still there, and iVe done everything else it's possible to do at this point. This must be a glitch. i just bought it yesterday so I have the most recent version. Walk throughs and tech support for PC only so quite frustrating ... I've been looking forward to playing this since the first RTMI.
No minigames instructions!
This game could be so much fun, but instead it is cumbersome and confusing. There are no directions for playing the number of mini-games that are throughout this game! For example the ant game requires you (with no foreknowledge) to click on an ant then click at the top of the wound then quickly click again to take the body off the ant so that it leaves the head pinching her wound closed. I haven't yet been able to figure out the fishing mini-game. It also seems that they didn't do a very good job of porting this game to the iPad. A number of things just don't make sense, such as when you are making pottery it doesn't show anything, you just stand there and click and wonder if anything is happening. So far I'm pretty disappointed in this game. It's pretty but that's about it!
Beautiful but very poor port to iPad
While the game has beautiful graphics and smooth movement it is otherwise a failure. None of the mini-games have any instructions, there is no iPad walkthrough, and there are significant differences between the computer version and the iPad version. A lot of puzzles you don't even do and some you only have to do half of them to move forward. In addition you end up collecting several items that you can never use because there is no way to complete the puzzle - i.e., you can't make a cake batter because there is no way to collect the maple syrup or honeycomb to make the sugar. This game had such potential - it's too bad no one cared enough to make a quality port of the game to iPad.
