Some people say that you can't hear anything on the iPad but I have a iPad my sister has an iPad and we can both hear fine and some people say all you do is swipe but so, you get to watch the game and it still gets your adrenalin pumping and some people say its to much money well you why it's a lot of money because it's a fun game and you can't get a fun game without using some money and some people say there are cuss words well in all the game only had about 7 times were they cussed and sometimes you can't even hear them say it and if they had good parents those kids would no that they shouldn't copy the language if the hear it or not I'm just saying to all of you that don't like this game for all your problems with think if it's really a problem or if it's just your iPad or if your just saying" this game is to hard I'm gonna write a bad review about it" well guess what that's your problem so remember think before you write a bad review .😏
This game wasn't terrible but it was far from a five star rating. I had higher expectations coming from Telltale Games, knowing how well they can combine interesting characters with engaging gameplay. This game fails in both those aspects and in several other ways.
The characters are one-dimensional and even annoying. Dialogue/story were cheesy and felt as though the game was aimed for a younger audience (although I'm not sure why there was some occasional swearing if this was their target group). They would repeat a memorable quote or action from the movie but it never felt natural to the game. More like they wanted to make "x" amount of references and threw them in whenever they could. Gameplay was boring (a bunch of swiping and looking around) and not always responsive, sometimes resulting in your entertaining death.
The length of the episode was good and they completed the story arc well but overall the game was unimpressive and forgettable. Telltale did an amazing job with The Walking Dead but falls flat here with Jurassic Park. Save your money.
I agree with Trentobeam. Why advertise this as "only for iPad2" when it works just as well with regular iPad?
And I kinda agree with Emmett, too. But taking into consideration that a lot of popular games these days is half-game, half-movie, this has to be one of the better-than-many of this type of game in my opinion. This one does what many don't; test your reflexes. And it's not a shooting-style arcade game; FINALLY! Too many Jurassic Park games are that style. I just wish exploration could have a little more free movement instead of "tap this picture to go there".
Animation is fantastic! Made me feel almost like I'm in a theater watching a movie in 3D! Gave me chills especially during the second encounter with T-Rex. Voice acting could have been better, but it IS a game; games tend to have not-as-good voice acting compared to movies, even with phenomenal and famous actors. Interactiveness is great, but I wish players could have a little more freedom of movement for characters. One other thing I really like is the division of scenarios. Didn't pass a scenario with a gold rank? You can try again without needing to go through the ENTIRE game...unless you really want to.
Loading or freezing problems are brief and few, but it is enough to keep me from giving 5 stars. Still, the game is a success! I will buy the other episodes. And I highly recommend it.
