What's New in Version 1.3.3
Improved performance for searching tags and text in notes.
Allow editing exisiting Simplenote acccount by double clicking on the row in preferences.
Fixed bug where scroll position is reseted after sync.
I would give JustNotes six stars if it could do one more thing. Simple formatting. I would be happy with bold and underlining. There is no app that comes close to JustNotes. Apple should be ashamed that they haven't already bought this company and morphed JustNotes with TextEdit. TextEdit used to be a simple program that was awesome at what it did, then it started to bloat. JustNotes not only does a better job then TextEdit, it syncs with my iPhone. Notes I write on my phone appear on my Mac and visa versa.
Does what it says, and does it really well
Does what it says on the proverbial box. Does it fast. Does it reliably. Doesn’t crash. Doesn’t bother me with ads. Clean, tasteful interface with judicious use of whitespace and dense but usable layout. The layout is so simple and so good. Doesn’t change the UI around for no good reason. Oh, if only all my daily-use apps worked this well. One of my favorites. Get it.
(Devs: Please never change the UI. It’s great just how it is.)
Solid, reliable. Works. At least when Simplenote works. Fortunately, Simplenote syncing is becoming reliable again, and their increased resources give me hope they will stay that way.
One small wish for JustNotes: I wish I could see my tags, either in a third pane or a separate one. But only when I want to see them. No point in cluttering up such a nice interface. Why? Because I can’t always remember the names of my tages, which means their search window isn’t always enough.
