Description

Take your productivity to the next level using KACE GO!

The KACE GO app was created to provide access to the KACE SMA Appliance from any location, enabling IT professionals to remain effective from all corners of the workplace, across multiple office locations and even while on the road. Now IT administrators can review and respond to real-time service desk and monitoring notifications, examine inventory details and deploy software on-the-go. With the KACE GO app, IT administrators are freed from the traditional constraints of a keyboard and mouse, and are empowered to provide service and systems management support that is agile enough to keep up with the influx of new technology. While the primary functionality of the app is designed for IT administrators, it also allows end users to submit service desk tickets, access the Knowledge Base and check on existing ticket status using their mobile devices.

Note: this product requires the KACE SMA 7.0 or higher to operate. VPN connectivity may be required depending on your network configuration, you can use your preferred VPN solution to connect when you are not on the local network.

iOS versions 9.0 and up are highly recommended.

STATUS not available, Poor barcode scanning

Aidinb

It seems that in some recent version of the mobile app, the STATUS field has disappeared from asset management. This is hugely important for tracking physical inventory, and now we're required to make status changes on the Desktop interface.

On paper, the single most useful feature of this app is barcode scanning.

Sadly, the reality is much more frustrating, as it sometimes takes about a minute of playing with angles and/or using a different light source in order to get it to recognize.
Most barcode scanning apps have a flashlight option that uses the built in LED, but not kace go. Other apps are also a lot faster to read, regardless of angles or lighting. Some even include a satisfying Beep or Vibrate!
(See apps "Beep" or "RedLight")

This app would be AMAZING if it just took some hints from other barcode scanning apps.

Good If Your IT Knows What They Are Doing

This app is really good for reviewing tickets and device inventory while away from your computer! Could use some improvements but overall nice to have.

Constantly crashes.

BOBIROC

Constantly crashes when trying to transfer tickets and now it crashes every time I try and view inventory. Uninstalling and reinstalling app did not help.
