Kanbanier 4+

I like it and I'm happy that I bought it, but it has some minor issues: editor swapping colors for example that could use a fix.

This is an outstanding app both the MacOS version and the companion iOS version. It is simple to use and effective Kanban tool. The horizontal and subcategory lanes are a distinctive and valuable feature that works well. All the features work equally on MacOS and iOS that increases the apps utility. The in app purchase is definitely worth it although I would have preferred to pay once for the iOS version, but the features and compatibility mitigate the extra cost.

I would like to see some enhances:
1. There is no line showing where the lanes are. I would like to see either a line to demark the lanes or color the lanes.
2. The sublanes take a little fiddling to get the hang of creating and editing them. It is easier after initially done so additional help guidance would be appreciated.
3. Deleting a lane deletes the tasks with no warning. I would like a warning or the option to preserve the tasks in a default lane.
4. Summary option so that the detail text can be limited to keep tasks a uniform vertical size. Click on to expand and view.
5. Timestamp and number/bullet list in the description. My tasks take time and I track when the tasks are updated and would like to have a timestamp for notes. Future capability might be a log tracking when tasks were moved between lanes.
6. Support for links in the task descriptions.
7. Icon support for flags, task completion %, or custom displayed in the task object.

Again, I recommend this product.

Excellent app and remarkable attention to detail. The features of the app are well-tested and work great together - and when I’ve found issues, the developer has fixed them quickly. The sync works great, and it’s very convenient to move back and forth between my Mac, iPad and iPhone. The customizable columns and lanes (with work-in-progress limits) have brought huge benefits to my workflow and let me finally implement Kanban. It’s a great tool to help you focus on what you’re working on and track the stages of your work.

In the past, I used to move on from 80%-finished projects to start the next one and end up with a bunch of unfinished projects. Using Kanbanier to keep track of the different stages of my work really helped with that, and it helped me make sure I wasn’t starting too many things at once.
