Description
KanjiBox is an offline Japanese studying application. It provides an efficient yet fun way to practice all aspects of Japanese (kana, kanji, vocab, reading, writing...) through drills, quizzes and flash cards, while providing engaging feedback through progress charts, scores and game-like "achievements" for each Japanese level.
KanjiDraw and KanaDraw add-ons harvest the full power of your device's touchscreen to guide you through proper Japanese handwriting, while detailed animated cards tell you everything you need to know on each kanji.
KanjiBox is particularly well suited for standardized test preparation (JLPT, Kanji Kentei, Ninja Academy etc.) but works great as a personal study tool too.

Amazing tool.
I can't get over how invaluable this app is. My textbook just took all the furigana under the kanji away so being able to practice reading compounds has helped my grades a lot. I can create my own lists in seconds of custom kanji or vocabulary which makes studying a breeze because you can set up lists for the chapter you are working on. And if you need more examples, this app links to the imiwa dictionary app. It's also great at practicing spelling. Quick! What is the "fourth of the month"? Yokka, youka or yoka? I haven't explored any of the other features like writing practice, but this app is worth every penny.
Pretty Darn Fantastic App
2015 Update: returned to this app after having not used it for a while. I like the upgrades. It compliments Duolingo in that it provides details and explanations. I highly highly recommended this app and the purchases (especially kanji draw).
Previous review when I bought the app: For any level learners. This app doesn't just have the kanji, but helps you build your knowledge from the kanji, to words with that kanji, to sentences with those words.
It keeps you engaged.
Fantastic study app
If you're interested in improving your Japanese vocabulary or kanji proficiency, this is the app to get. The algorithm it uses to reinforce the learning of the words and characters is very effective, and I particularly like how it lets you track your progress. The only thing I wish it had was a non-multiple choice mode of drills/quizzes, but in spite of that I'm still giving it 5 stars, on account of its very well designed and effective.
