4th time was the charm

On a whim I decided to figure out how to view photos on our new Samsung QLED TV. I found a couple of articles online and of course the first recommendation had been discontinued. I saw others in the App Store and tried out three of them. They were difficult for me to move through and the instructions were not specific enough for a non-techie like myself. Install/Delete. Then I tried Katan. Such a relief. In a matter of minutes I was connected and looking at lovely photographs from both my iPad and iPhone. Even our dorky Goldendoodle loved looking at big photos of himself. And yes I will pay the $2 to lose the bottom banner. This App is a bargain.

One (dumb) question. How exactly do I Exit the app? Hit “disconnect”? When I do that it seems I have trouble reconnecting.

Very Good App! One clarification

Thank you guys, good job!
I have one issue during playing slideshow, it it moving in reverse mode for the date of pictures, is there a way we can selected the sequence?

Screen Size

Easy to install! But the mirrored pic on Samsung Smart TV is smaller than may laptops... ?? So what’s the point? Maybe developer will tell me how to enlarge or update. Tease that the app is free - Katan watermark banner on bottom of every pic unless you pay $3.99

Developer Response ,

Hi, thank you for your review. By default Katan generates 1080p images and sends them to TV. Some 4K TVs don’t show 1080p images full screen. Probably also your case. I think there are 2 options: 1. Configure your TV to show smaller images full screen; 2. In Katan preferences, select the image size of 4K instead of 1080p. This, however, may be difficult for older iPhones/iPads, especially if you are using adjustments...

The app is free to make sure it works with your TV (every TV is different!) before you pay.
