Excellent guide to Istanbul's foods
Thank you to the terrific Katie Parla for so many excellent tips for eating your way around the fabulous city of Istanbul! We followed her advice for nearly every meal and ate like royalty. Love that the app is usable offline as well. Can't wait to go back to Istanbul again to try more of the recs in the app. 5 stars
Well worth the purchase
Great app, helped us find a number of excellent restaurants in Istanbul. Map feature (including your own location) works offline, which was great for us.
best help through this jungle
istanbul's streets are literally lined with eateries of all types - i am sure it is the city with the highest food venue per capita rate. unfortunately, good food is very hard to find! the damous turkish cusine is going down the same fast food/convenience/cheap/huge amounts drain as other countries.
this app is an indispensible help with finding the good quality, the good value, true to origins stuff. like she says, she really is eating the bad food so we don't have to. if you care about what you put in your mouth, if you want to eat well in this crazy city, find the real artisans - this is THE help!
love the offline map function and all data is available without roaming, too!
you can sort the venues according to distance, budget and various categories, which is a great help on the fly.
