This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
KayakLog turns your smartphone into an automatic “logbook-creater”. When you have finished your kayak trip, all logged data such as wind speed, temperature, length of trip, average speed, photos taken on your trip etc. are directly transferred to the KayakLog website. You can also share your kayak adventures with friends on facebook.
•Shows length of route, average speed, current speed, top speed, duration and route on map
•Shows air temperature, wind speed and wind direction
•Shows coloured wind alert
•Shows local weather forecast 24 hours ahead
•Stores pictures from your trip to be sent directly to your personal logbook on kayaklog.net
•Share your kayak trips with friends on facebook
Your personal logbook on kayaklog.net:
•Contains all recorded data and photos from your kayak trips
•Your logs are printable and can be used directly for renewing your sea kayak instructors course certificate
•The logs are recognized by DGI (Danish Gymnastics and Sports Associations) and the Danish Canoe and Kayak Federation and EPP as a logbook for sea kayak instructor courses in Denmark
Safety, a very important issue:
•You get the wind chill factor and warnings for the wind power directly on the app
•Register up to three "Emergency ID's” which can be your spouse, your friend etc.
•In case you do not arrive as planned at your final destination, your "Emergency ID's" can check your latest position on www.kayaklog.net
Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease battery life.

Nice icon but app needs work
I like the icon. The app needs improvement. I was only able to log one 4 hour trip and now it is requesting payment. Not cool. Also the app told me nothing that Map My Ride doesn't tell me. In fact MMR told me far more about my trip. If this app did everything it's claimed to do I might buy it. As of now I'll stick with Map My Ride.
I hope you improve this app. It could be really cool. Again, awesome icon.
Used free trial... or lack thereof
Downloaded the free trial and started using it on Lake Sidney Lanier. Turned my screen on to check my progress and it reset (first log gone). Reopened the app and it crashed (second trial log gone). Tried it again and it crashed again (third and final log gone). Told me I had to purchase the app to continue using it. Sorry, I'll pass and use something that actually works.
