Keycard is undoubtedly the easiest way to keep your Mac secure when you're not around.

Using Bluetooth®, Keycard locks your Mac using your iOS device when it detects you are leaving your computer. When you come back, it unlocks it for you. Leaving your desk for 10 minutes? Grabbing a coffee in the library? Take your iPhone or other iOS device with you and it can serve as your own personal “Keycard.”

What's New in Version 1.2

-The lock screen now behaves better when a full screen app is up and Keycard locks.
-Keycard now locks when you power down your phone or turn Bluetooth off on your phone.
-Control the sensitivity of Keycard via a new sensitivity control in settings screen.
-Various bugs and memory leaks fixed.
-Various UI tweaks.

Okay BUT Flawed

**Update** It appears this app may have been abandoned… no update for 10 months with an OS update since this — I wouldn’t purcchase this app until it is updated!

Works okay except if you want the Mac's sleep function to work properly as well - Keycard overrides all sleep function. If you force the machine to sleep, when you wake it Keycard is not responsive… whether your phone is present or bluetooth is on or off, Keycard acts as if if it is on and in range and so indicates it.

Does Not Work

I had high hopes for this app. It simply does not work. I have it installed on my office iMac. The app never locks the iMac when I leave the office (and return without my iPhone to see if it is locked). Indeed, it rarely, if ever, locks the iMac if I simply turn off BlueTooth on my iPhone.

A great idea, but terrible implementation.

Jury's out...

I love the concept of this app. The UI is fantastic, it's very well done and simplistic and the settings are easy to understand. The problem is with the sensitivity - it's not sensitive enough. I want my Mac to lock when my iOS device is a mere two or three feet away. I can put my device twelve feet away, and my Mac will randomly lock and unlock. This app is not of any pratical use to me right now; I'll revisit it when it's updated. My recommendation, wait on buying this app - don't buy Tokenlock, I already made that mistake.
