Need a new highly secure random key for an encrypted harddrive, your wireless router, safe, or email account? Let Keyshaker do the work for you!

Generating random numbers with Keyshaker installed on your iPhone is a much saver alternative to software generated keys and cheaper than hardware generated ones. Just shake your iPhone and let Keyshaker generate a key for you (full ASCII since version 1.1). The built-in Accelerometer makes it almost impossible to generate the same key twice, while Push-Technology allows you to safely copy and paste your keys.

Keyshaker also lets you store the generated keys. Select a contact from your address book and the key is stored as a note. You can also add this key to multiple people, while each person can store multiple keys too. Keys can also be saved to your computer by just synching your iPhone with your Mac or PC.

What's New in Version 1.3

- fixed a but that sometimes caused lost characters when a key was added to a contact
- fixed a bug that sometimes miscalculated the shakes left

Works exactly as advertised

First off, if you don't know why adding entropy from your physical environment makes your passwords any more secure than not adding such entropy, there's a very good chance that this program is beyond your security needs. That's not an insult to anyone's intelligence - it's an observation that those who need passwords that are this "random" are probably going to understand the value of physical environment entropy. On the other hand, at $2, it's worth the price even if you don't need - or don't know if you need - the extra password strength. Using the accelerometer to add entropy to a password generator is one of those ideas that fits into the category of "it's so obvious that everyone overlooked it." Historically, getting this type of feature in a home-user's computing environment has been prohibitively expensive. This is a must-have for systems administrators and security professionals. Great job in taking advantage of the hardware to go a step beyond what others have done!

I really like this app. Definitely random, secure. You can select up to 100 character password!

Fabulous use of the hardware to get random data. Simple, quick, secure, innovative.
