New app layout terrible
Cover flow UIs are bad, but your implementation of the concept is terrible.
Update, again, and yes it is still bad.
If you are thinking we will 'get used to it', you are sadly mistaken, as others are doing Im no longer using this app.
The discrete sliding does not help, it's actually more annoying because it takes so much lateral movement of the finger on the screen to get far enough for it to snap over rather than return. It is just bad.
What are you thinking with static content showing all the time in half the screen? There is no need for static display area... Unless it is a Menu bar, not half the screen. Are you trying to cause burn in on our screens or something?? (Yes impossible, but sadly the only good reason for this update is to try?)
I know what app I'm using, why is half my mobile device screen consumed with a giant Kickstarter label while browsing for projects!!! It's not like I will forget which app this is!! Use space wisely, this was not wise.
I cannot even stand to use it, going to mobile web instead, app nearly useless.
Solid app
The app is solid and works smoothly, presenting the project information in the same way as the website. Not a huge fan of the cover flow interface for browsing projects; feels restrictive and you can't see much at once, but I can't think of a much better way to do it. Not a big deal. Quality app.
New version of App is much better
The Current App version fixed the problems I had previously. The changes in the last version of the App I had caused me to uninstall it because nothing seemed to work on an old iPhone. the new version is probably the best so far.
