Embrace your fertility!
I have been charting my fertility since I married my husband 7 years ago. For six of those years, I used paper charts, and eventually digressed to using little pocket calendars. The information was disorganized, and there were days I would completely forget to chart at all! This was not very helpful, as we had just had our third child and were not yet ready for another. I was starting to feel really insecure using NFP (or FAM, as they call it in this app) but as a Catholic woman, I trusted and believed in the method. My husband urged me to look for an app that might help me chart my cycles more effectively. I found and chose Kindara initially because it was free, but now that I have been charting with it for 11 months, I can say that I truly love this app and cannot imagine practicing NFP without it! Whether you are trying to achieve pregnancy, or avoid it, this app helps you reach those goals. It provides an easy to understand chart, using both the information from your daily cervical mucous observations, but also incorporates daily readings of basal body temperature. I feel so confident using Natural Family Planning now that I have Kindara. Even those who are new to charting their cycle will find helpful information for learning how to practice the method themselves, and embrace the wonderful gift of their fertility!
Beautiful and functional! And great support.
I've been practicing fertility awareness for years but only just discovered this app - what a find! This makes charting so much easier and is so well-designed both in terms of the aesthetics and the ease of data entry. I love that you can even add custom symptoms to chart. My only criticism is that the way of depicting mucus quality and amount in the chart is a bit counterintuitive at first: the more fertile the mucus, the *shorter* the bar on the chart. But when you see how that method makes the mucus bars mirror the temperature chart somewhat it makes more sense, and you can definitely get used to it. Thanks for such a well-produced app!
Update: I had a concern about period prediction and when I emailed the kindara team they were incredibly helpful at figuring out why my predictions were wonky. Now they are right on the money. Bonus points for quick responsiveness and knowledgeable staff!
Every Woman Should!
I'm approaching menopause, possibly, but used NFP when pregnancy was my prime concern, now that apps are available & menses/ amenorrhea/ hemorrhagic (very heavy flow) & hormones are further concerns ... I could not recommend this more! I needed an app to track when to expect my cycle. Happily, I get that and so much more with this app!!!!
Did you know your endocrine system influences your pre-menopause symptoms? Every woman should be so empowered with this information: and this app EDUCATES YOU where you may not have know things about your own body, cycles, health! So wise and supportive. I hope you get this for yourselves, & recommend it for all the young women you know. I plan to share it with every young lady I chat with at my yoga studio. We have GOT to get our female systems individually & collectively figured out. It's time. It's over due actually. Take on THIS app & be empowered with all it has to offer.
