Not quite as good as frontiers...
I am a huge fan of Kingdom Rush. I played the first two games multiple times online. After playing the first two games free I had no qualms about paying to play the third. However I have to say I was disappointed to find that I still had to pay to unlock most of the heroes. Also, I don't think this game is as challenging as the first two. The first two games there where multiple times where I got stuck on a level and had to think out new and innovative strategies to pass or get three stars. This game, I feel like as long as I stick a barracks and a Druid close to the goal I can pull off a three star win first time no problem.
It is still a very well designed and put together game with the great graphics, music, and quirky achievements of the previous games. I just wish the heroes were all unlock-able and it was a bit more challenging. Thanks all the same for great games Ironhide. I am looking forward to Iron Marines!
I'm avid mobile gamer and this is best game on iOS. No supercell pay to win garbage.
They keep updating this game with more levels. You can put a ton of hours and not spend additional money since its not a "Freemium" pay to win game. I'm shocked some reviewers are upset you have to pay money for other heroes. Total luxury purchase not necessary to win the game. Buy Veznar for a dollar though, totally worth the countless hours of gameplay he delivers. Easily the best hero in the franchise. He summons a huge demon and devours souls nuff said.
Graphics and gameplay eclipse the first 2 games. Frontiers graphics are the worst of the franchise. I'm shocked some people consider it a better game.
While I appreciate the new levels I want to see part 4. Show me a better version of this game with new towers and I would gladly pay $20.
They can and will do better
Game keeps asking for ratings, so here we are.
It's not a game you can play forever. Ironhide was getting PopCap-level reviews not long ago. For a minute.
Ironhides says, "We love making games." But something must have happened. No more pop culture references. Interesting new foes are few. Innovation in level maps was just getting going. Hero development seems to boil down to artwork and voiceovers, not really a character. There seems to be no inspiration behind the updates. Just seem released out of obligation.
Then there are the tired tower, hero, and reinforcement voice parts.
"For the king!"
"Let's rock! And roll!" (get it?)
"A dragon lives forever!"
It is great that females have found their way into the game. But there are some unfortunate bits from the voice artists, which suffer greatly upon hundreds of listenings. :
"Time fa tah-get practice!"
"Vampire emergency, blah blah blah."
"Bring it on!"
That last bit sounds like a tennis instructor.
So: Laziness? No staff? Or doesn't Ironhide doesn't like to go to work in the morning. Meanwhile, with meager updates, your fans are not playing nearly as much as say, PvZ2.
Completely new game, please. Featuring no recycled material.
Be your own heroes, guys.
