"The design lessons of Apple prove that simplicity is always in style, and with only two buttons, the Kitsch player is as simple as it gets."
-Knar Bedian, evolver.fm
A music player with the charm and elegant simplicity of a transistor radio. Kitsch Player plays the music in your music library but uses the look and feel of operating a classic radio.
Rotate the dial to tune into one of 11 stations. On each station you'll find music from a particular genre, artist, album or playlist. The music will continue to play while the app is in the background, and it will work with remote control headphones and external devices.
iPhone and iPod users can switch between one of four different skins, inspired from different decades of classic pocket radio designs. Swipe the lower part of the screen to move from one design to the next.
iPad and iPad mini users can save their favorite genres, artists, albums or playlists on up to 5 channels.
Kitsch Player does NOT play actual FM/AM radio, it does NOT work with iTunes Radio, it does NOT stream internet radio, and it does NOT add music to your music library. It plays only the music that is on your device's music library.
What's New in Version 1.2
- Bug fix for iOS 8
I love it
I have a gigantic music library... Kitsch puts the entire library on random and I truly get to experience music that I never listen to. You can set 5 of the available 11 or 12 stations to a specific genre... So I have my 5 set up to: Zappa, jazz, hawkwind, cosmic country and metal... Playlists... And the others are random... Random in my library is fun...
Additionally, it has the look and feel of an old deco radio... Static in between stations etc... For .99, it is a great deal...
I bought this app and it crashes as soon as it opens.... It opens then closes right away, please fix this bug running the latest iOS on iPhone 6plus
Update fixed prob on 6+, thx!
