Ratings and Reviews
Paradox Interactive knows what makes gamers tick. So it's no surprise this sequel packs so much fan service, meta-humor, and wacky fun into its gorgeous pixelated package. Build a party with unique characters (like the Hipster, whose Early Adopter passive skill lets you buy items before others), then venture forth on hundreds of absurd quests—customizing your party, equipment, and decorations along the way. It’s silly and amusing, but like its predecessor, Knights of Pen & Paper 2 is a deep game hardcore RPG fans will respect.
I really appreciated this game in its prime.
This game was downright perfect. I cannot express how much of a masterpiece this game was. I’ve been a huge fan of KoP&P ever since I bought the first one (however I can’t play the first one anymore because it has not been updated for the current iOS, would really appreciate it if they could get on that). The gameplay was super fun and got me into DnD in the first place. I loved the character design that they builded on after the first game and it all just seemed to go together...then I took a hiatus..... I came back to play another run for old times sake and was greeted with a free to play version of the game. I thought it was great at first. It’s always good to see more players being able to play one of my favorite games and having the same fun I did. Then I realized how much of a money grab this game was. I didn’t have any of the DLC anymore and instead I have to buy the game AGAIN but for more this time. The gameplay is kind of the same more or less, but still doesn’t feel like it did before. This game went from perfection to a corrupted shell of what it was. I hope to see Paradox either revert these changes, or create a new game to the series that can be a happy medium between the money grabbing and the perfect game it once was. I wish the best to Paradox, but I can’t play this game anymore.
This game was down right perfect when I started everything from game balancing to gold density was impeccable but now the game falls flat felling more like a massive cash grab, gems are incredibly expensive and everything that need gems cost several hundred of them and now it feels like in you first play though you HAVE to buy gold because gold is a pain to farm I’m currently at the temple of Brocken balance and I still don’t have a fifth adventurer because to do so mean spending several hours grinding low level mobs to work up the ridiculous 17,000 gold I need to do this
But the problem I have most have with the game is that it keeps crashing on me I have an iPhone 6s and anytime I download the game it works fine for the first week and then says f you and any progress you’ve made and simply won’t launch the only way I’ve found to fix this problem is to delete and redownload the game deleting any progress I’ve made
Finally Paradox please remove the gem system it’s stupid and dishonest to hide the real cost of your massively over priced DLC behind some premium currency just put the price on the item we love your game and are more than willing to buy the expansions but every time you do something like this it just another annoying nail in your coffin
