The ever popular KnittingHelp.com knitting videos are now available for the iPhone/iPod touch. Includes 170 knitting videos from the website have been organized and added to this knitting video reference app. The videos are stored within the app and not streamed, so there is no need for an Internet connection to watch them. This means you can access the videos instantly from anywhere. On an airplane? Not a problem. You will have at your fingertips access to numerous cast-on methods, bind-offs, increases and decreases, stitch patterns and a whole lot more. If you want to know if a particular subject is covered, I'd recommend going to http://www.knittinghelp.com.

This app does not include the premium videos from the website or the the 45 minute "How to Knit: A Complete Introduction." beginner series. But all the other free videos from the website are included in this app for quick access.

Also Amy Finlay has included an introduction section to help new knitters get up to speed. The introduction covers topics such as choosing a first project, selecting yarn and needles, casting on, knit and purl stitches, gauge, and more.

NOTE: Just like on the website, some of the smaller videos do not have sound and are meant to be followed visually. These are typically simpler videos such as increases and decreases and are very easy to discern by watching.

This is a fairly large app due to the inclusion of all the video files. You will need about 600MB of space available on your iPhone or iPod Touch to install this application.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

This app is 100% worth every penny you pay! I'm a continental knitter of 7 years and any time I run into a new stitch I go straight here! Being that I carry my yarn in my left hand I often meet people that can't help me since they are English knitters (carry their yarn in their right hand). This app makes a world of difference in those situations since videos for both English and Continental styles are offered. I'm also a very hands on learner so I need to see AND do things to learn them. The videos are clear and I can rewind them as much as I need. You need this app! Trust me!

Love it!

As a new knitter, I depended on the Knitting Help website to help with new techniques. Now that I've been knitting for years, it's still helpful to have refresher on a certain technique, and I can always learn something new. But it's not always convenient to run to my computer. Having these videos and tips right on my phone is a great resource. The videos are clear, the app is organized in an easy-to-navigate fashion, and there are tons of helpful tips and instructions---I love it!

Most useful knitting app out there

I love this app and use it all the time. The videos are crystal clear, they cover everything I have wanted to know so far, and she so helpfully shows both English and continental styles for every stitch. And I LOVE that these videos all exist on my iPad - no Internet connection needed. I rave about this app to all my knitting friends, especially those (like me) who are still beginner - intermediate knitters. Best $5 I have ever spent.
