Nowadays some people are under the mistaken idea that if you can't tie a knot you should just tie a lot. As funny and clever as that sounds it's really not the case.

Knot tying has always been one of those key outdoor skills that the inexperienced take for granted. The experienced outdoorsman, however, has had enough success and failure to know that there are right and wrong knots for certain jobs.

A good knot can save lives when you're dealing with a survival situation, performing first aid, and when working over heights or water. But, you have to know how to tie it. So make sure you know what to do with your rope the next time you head into the wild by using this Animated Knots Art - 3D app.

With animation in 3 dimension, our app will help you learn and make a knot more easily. And we have also supported more than 40 knot types in 16 categories

Handy and Animation is Great

I really can’t be too critical since it’s free but would like to note a few things in hope to improve the app:

1. Use Case label displayed for each knot is too small - The label to describe the use cases for each knot is way too small. While real estate is limited, it would be nice to expand the label (I.e. Expanding vertical pane) so that scrolling isn’t as necessary (if at all).

2. Use Case text is displayed in the center instead of at the beginning of the text - When you first see the text, you are required to scroll to the top each time before you can read the whole text. This puts some unnecessary inconvenience on the user.

3. Knot list is limited - Creating the user-friendly animation has to be time consuming when doing this part time. However, if you look at the list, most of the knots are repeated and doesn’t provide many overall.

Exactly what I hoped for

Clear instructions with great visual aids.

My only dislike is how small the text box is, only allowing two lines to show at a time. Sized to show the whole text or even just one to two more line would be preferred.

The ads along the bottom aren't a big distraction but a purchase-to-disable-ads feature would be nice especially for those who the ads do bother.

Very Useful App for learning knot tying skills

This is a fun and useful app that shows how to tie many useful knots. The description of the knots are given in each step tying process. The animation of each step is well done and easy to follow. Be sure to have a short rope so you can follow along. It's really fun.
