■ Perform Using A Single Finger
iKaossilator uses the unique X-Y interface made famous by Korg’s entire Kaoss Line, including the original hand-held KAOSSILATOR. Create melodies and phrases simply by stroking, tapping, or rubbing the touch screen with your finger; no musical knowledge is required.
■ Bright, Colorful Visual Effects
iKaossilator is also focused on its graphic design, which shows up beautifully on the iPhone's high-quality display. The visual effects on the iPhone's display move along with your performance and add excitement. These bold, colorful graphics provide an exciting performance experience.
■ 150 Diverse Sounds Covering Many Musical Styles
Use the 150 built-in sounds to perform and produce a broad range of dance music styles including hip-hop, house, techno, dubstep, nu-disco, and electro. Enjoy the synth leads and synth bass sounds you expect from a synthesizer. The drum sounds let you play and manipulate various patterns simply by moving your finger.
■ Loop Sequencer
The built-in loop sequencer lets you layer up to five musical parts. To create a track, simply assign a loop such as synth, bass, chords, sound effects, or drums to each part. Fifty loops created by professional musicians are built-in to help you get started quickly. In addition to its track-making capabilities, this loop sequencer is also a great feature for live performance. The Mix Play feature makes it easy to enjoy live remixing; you can switch seamlessly to another loop or extract a specific part from another loop while the playback continues.
■ Audio Export
You can record your performance in real time, or export a completed loop as an audio file. By sending your creations to a Mac or PC via iTunes, you can share them with your friends or use them in a full-fledged music production. You can also upload them directly to SoundCloud.
■ Share Loops on SoundCloud
n online audio platform that's very popular among musical creators. The loops you create can be uploaded directly to SoundCloud from within the app. If you attach the loop data, it will be shared to other users' loop lists. Users worldwide will be exposed to new loops they've never heard, and can combine them with their own loops to create remixes. It's a new way of enjoying music by and unleashing your iKaossilator’s potential throughout the world.

• Bug fixes and improvements
Program Director, Media Ctr @ Ballard
As Program Director of the new Media Ctr @ Ballard I'm a huge fan of Korg Kaossilator getting young folks (old ones too) quickly engaged in the creative process. As a player for 40 years I cannot say good enough things about the simplicity and intuitive musicality of the iOS K'illor, as it's known on my track sheets. As a teacher I would be hard pressed to name a tool that could match the way the K'illor captures th attention and the immediate enthusiasm of both the teen & autistic students I've had the good fortune of working with & my adult friends & fans at shows. Awesome product - I use my hardware K2 & consider each a different instrument worth bringing to gigs & recording, each with their own strong points, & now that the iOS K'illor ports to Ableton as individual tracks my workflow is streamlined beautifully. Way to pay attention to what users are doing, Korg & Ableton & refine products to make our lives easier,
Beyond worth the $20
I play piano/synth in my band, Blue Vino, & was looking for an instrument that was a bit outside the box. I was very much on the fence when I was contemplating purchasing a Kaossilator KO1 or the iKaossilator app. I couldn't find a Kaossilator for less than about $75. When I found this app & convinced myself to just get it, I found myself overjoyed at its capabilities. From reviews I've read about the Kaossilator KO1, it sounds like you get at least a comparable instrument in the iKaossilator, if not an ALL OUT BETTER ONE! My band plays all sorts of genres & this app helps with any prog, experimental, industrial, electronic, and any other genres you feel could use a boundary check. For an instrument (which this definitely qualifies as) that's less than a tank of gas, you owe it to yourself to just give it a shot.
Completely Usable (more expansions please!!!!)
HELP I CANT GET TO AUDIO PASTE FROM import on IOS 8 and iPhone 6
I LOVE YALL!!!!
I don't usually leave reviews, but I got this when it came out and a ton of other apps. Well this one has proved to be useful in a lot of ways. I've never had so much fun remixing own stuff and it coming out so good. And I have had kaossilator a since the beginning of them. The sounds on it are ao so, but the app as a remixing tool is worth the money. Way worth the money. To the people complaining: use the import option and the live record. And RTFM... Very well written app. It used to do strange things when deleting some loops of your own it would throw off ( and may still) all your patterns with your own loops in them. Thanks again Korg for making life more interesting. I can hardly believe what I've produced on this with Propellorheads Figure and
Alone. When I get it up online I will post links. This is iOS in its very beginning stages and can't wait to see what's going to come from the electronic music gods at Korg
I truly love you tall
