Sounds are problematic
I love the idea of feedback with sound, since I’m usually counting while looking into a microscope, but the execution is lacking. The app’s lack of ability to play two sounds at once actually makes the feedback confusing and distracting.
Specifically: When the 10-cell count “ding” goes off, it masks the next 1-2 “blips.” Furthermore, if I’m counting with two counters (say for live/dead) the sounds of the two counters mask each other so that you may have zero sound whatsoever. This seems like an easy fix, since literally thousands of apps play multiple sounds at once, so I’m looking forward to an update. (Won’t be using it until then.)
Pls. Consider this feature
This is a great tally app and I can see it could be used in other settings, it would be nice to have a picture/emoji as an option for each category/section
I am just saying it could be useful elsewhere
Does not count really fast
I use this primarily for counting parasite eggs. On high counts, using this counter is the rate-limiting step. I am buying a tally counter for $5 to supplement this counter. Together, it is a reasonable, affordable alternative to a differential cell counter.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
