What's New in Version 2.2.1
- Bug fixes
This is great if you're into social media.
I thought the app could do a lot more functions but it is sadly limited to certain apps that it can perform functions for or even to simply open (the specific app needs an URL scheme)! This is not the developer's fault but I wonder why it can't just simply launch any app. I can't have any of my calendars open (including native app).
Some app have specific functions - like Yelp. You can save what you want it to do - open app, open with a search term, check-in, etc. Others, you can only have it open.
I don't use Facebook or Twitter and I imagine that's where the app shines a lot. Though, I was mostly excited to have it use the phone's functions. I grouped up bf's actions to call, message etc. I was disappointed to see very few functions overall. Like I said earlier, no calendar (none of my AppStore calendar apps were supported) and no Photo access. I am having difficulty finding functions to fill up my screen.
I looked through "Supported Apps" and so far the ones I looked through were all paid apps that I would never use. Here's hoping that more developers get an URL scheme.
I think it's a bit pricey for now but I have hope for it to expand more. Overall, interface is very nice and smooth.
Such a practical app
I have to be honest. For the longest time I wasn't sold on this app. I mean, why have an app to launch another app right? Well the new me wishes he can slap the old me because this app does so much more than that. It's got a ton of functionality. Not only can you launch apps, you can create shortcuts to those apps. So if there's something you constantly do in an app that requires more than one or two or even three step, you can create a shortcut for that app. And it's so simple! Try it out! You won't be disappointed.
I don't understand people leaving negative comments simply because they don't have apps that are actively updated and with it on current features (like URL schemes) I have almost completely run out of room with tons of folders that I've had to prune down to the most useful actions. Complaining that it isn't useful only hurts this app and dev, does not help your app's boneheaded dev adopt compatibility for an app that Apple promotes in several sections of the App Store.
