Spend your money elsewhere!
This highly overpriced app at best will only teach you some phrases not real content, even then not at a pace the early learner of Hebrew would be able to achieve. I should have known this was not going to be a full "course",,, the fact that it was only a download of 58mb. As mentioned by other reviews the sound while working, is spotty from time to time. Short of being a native speaker (or playing the voice you are supposed to emulate back to itself!!) you'll always fall short of acceptance in the verbal/speech tests.
The best option is to buy the audio/text apps "Word-Power Hebrew" and "AccellaStudy Hebrew" (also the app "Hebrew Verbs"--text only by the way, nevertheless helpful and a very robust list of verbs), true you just get a large amount of vocabulary words without the grammatical rules to put them together,,, but if you buy the Books, "Everyday Hebrew" (by Tirkel) and "Colloquial Hebrew" -both with audio resources, you'll be much further along with a better grounding in the language both grammatically and practically.
"Press and hold the microphone button and repeat the word or phrase. Release the microphone button after saying the word or phrase." As you use the app you will hear this hundreds of times and after a while you will want to put a stake into the heart of the voice that is saying this over and over again. There does not appear a way to get rid of this as there are no preferences or settings in this app.
Also the pictures are of little use, and English translation is at times misleading. For example the translation of the word yemamah is not really "day" in the English sense, it means a 24 hour period, ie. day plus night.
Ok, but not worth the money!
I guess I have no one but myself to blame for buying this app. I paid $20 bucks for it and there just isn't enough content in it for me to say it was worth the money. There are free apps to help you learn Hebrew that bring just as much content as this one such as "Let's speak Hebrew". I would recommend anyone to NOT buy this app. I hope the developer reads this and adds some more alphabet exercises like maybe learning how to put letters together on my own. Anyway, I hope this review helps someone save money! Shalom!
