App is a Useful Directory, but Lacks The Meat of A Real Pro se Tool

I give David Bilodeau an A for effort. This is a much needed resource, largely because of the failure of the collective Mass Family and Probate courts to provide any intelligible basic information or clear directions when it comes to navigating a case through their hallways. I think the forms and the custody calculator are useful, as is the provision of essential info lacking in the court website. I think this makes a convenient app for busy parents in the throws of a Massachusetts divorce. I think it would be fleshed out by
Including a summary of Mass General Laws related to domestic relations.

It is not, though, a cornerstone app for pro se litigants (a category that I fall into).
The case law, though, is woefully incomplete. On top of that, there is no way to make notes, to print the sample cases out or to export them to a note-taking app. The reports, available free through the Mass court case system, reference a rich and more substantial body of court actions and opinions within them. If it is intended for the pro se audience, it should include a far broader range of references.

It does not qualify, in my opinion, as an app that should cost more than $1.99, preferably 0.99. It does, though, represent a noble effort at providing some guidance and remains a first of its kind.

Love It

Fabulous. Worth it simply to avoid having to fill out the child support guidelines worksheet while standing in a line of 200 at the Peoples Republic Probate and Family Court in Cambridge. Suffolk boy makes good.
