DUELING CLUB EXPANSION
Add the Dueling Club expansion and master advanced dueling skills against a host of famous witches and wizards including Professor Snape, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Lord Voldemort and many more. Defeat each category leader to unlock them for use in Free Play mode.
What's New in Version 1.3
After listening to feedback we have added a new optional controls system which focuses more on the games touch screen controls. When starting the game, you will receive a message asking if you wish to use the new controls or if you would like to continue using the default controls. The new controls can be toggled on or off through the in-game pause menu under ‘Options’ and then ‘Touch Controls’.
The default controls have not be changed.
NEW TOUCH CONTROLS
SPELL CASTING – Tapping the screen will now cast your selected spell at the object or area you tap rather than in the direction you are facing.
SPELL TARGETING – To target a specific object, touch and hold the screen to bring up the targeting cursor. Move your finger over an object to target it and then let go to cast a spell at the object.
INTERACT – To interact with LEGO objects such as Strength Handles or to pick up LEGO objects simply touch the on-screen button prompt which will appear when standing next to an interactive LEGO object. To drop a LEGO object, touch your character while they are standing still. To place a LEGO object, stand next to the correct location and touch the on screen button prompt.
REDUCTO – This spell no longer needs to be charged to destroy Silver LEGO objects. With Reducto selected, simply tap a Silver LEGO Object to destroy it.
EXPECTO PATRONUM – This spell no longer needs to be charged to defeat Dementors. To defeat a Dementor, cast at it once with Expecto Patronum to stun it, then cast at it again to defeat it.
PETS/ANIMAGUS/ABILITY – To use a Pet, Animagus or a Character Ability select the green spell slot and tap on your character.
PETS/ANIMAGUS: As a animal, tap the screen to bash objects or dig.
To change back to your character touch the Character Swap button
ABILITY: To stop using an ability, tap the Character Swap button, or touch the Character Portrait
Good...but needs tweaks
I love this game. I love the new approach on graphics, but this game is sooo hard. I have repeated it three times, and am STILL stuck on the level where you are trying to defeat the inferi and get the necklace. I've had to search up answers to almost every level, and that just spoils things. If you could change some things and make this game a teeny-tiny bit easier, especially in getting the locket [its so hard] I would probably give this a 10/10 rating if I could. (Also, it would probably be a lot better if you could just make that level with the inferi, drinking from the cup, and getting the light to get the goblets a tiny bit easier. Maybe you could have it so that there is only.... four or five inferi in the water, because it's pretty much all impossible to get those goblets without inferius attacking you every few feet.)
Hey Creators - LISTEN PLEASE!
Love the game - I own the DS and the 3DS versions, and have obsessively played the Wii console version. Love it! BUT, when it comes to the mobile version, I wish we had more. And I know a 3DS reissue will never happen, but you can edit this platform - just like you recently did with the new "touch" controls. I just want a few more story elements; if we were to base our knowledge off of this game alone, we'd never know that Snape was actually protecting Harry. We get no information, whatsoever, about the what the Deathly Hallows are, apart from the rare symbol. We teach the DA to use the Patronus Charm - but they never need to! Can't we have a few dementors and spiders added into the "Snape's Tears" battle or the final battle? And what's it got to take to get a simple-but-special sound fx for the Patronus? These are easy changes! And I'd much prefer more cutscenes if it means we get more story! You could edit most of the Lovegood cutscenes into an entertaining explanation of the Deathly Hallows without including any game play! And that could lead directly into the Malfoy Manor scenes... it'll play out that the Death Eaters who attacked Xeno were the ones who brought the Trio to the Manor, as opposed to them going from destroying the locket to randomly waking up to the Death Eaters examining them! I will literally pay more for this update! I just want a more faithful game - but the gameplay is PHENOMENAL!
Honestly I'm going to finish this game regardless of the gameplay because I love Legos and I love Harry Potter, put it together and it's good automatically. However the game like people have been saying its kind of annoying to play. The game controls I can deal with because my iPad is big enough to see the controls, but honestly the story like and effects are what ruin the game. The fist four year game was perfect, drawing the spells was creative and the camera control made it easy to see everything, the camera move so much in this game that I can't see some of the things I need. Not to mention that the camera aim is really close up on the character as well. Why change the dynamics from the first game, if it was so good to start off? Its kind of a let down once you start playing because of all the changes. I also down like the way the levels are made, crucial story elements are practically dismissed and each level is more cut scenes than actual play. The first year was basically twenty minutes long if you take your time, whereas the first game took so long to beat that it was actually worth the money for such a long game. I mean either way I will finish and enjoy this game, just kind of wish you guys had basically copied the same gameplay as the first four years but just obviously made it about the last 3 years. Not a complete let down, but definitely disappointing.
