Lexus Enform Remote, available on select 2015 or newer vehicles, is an advanced vehicle app that enables you to connect to Lexus Enform Technology and manage your Lexus from any distance (as long as both your vehicle & smartphone are able to establish cellular connections). The app allows you to remotely lock/unlock your doors and start/stop the engine, find your parked vehicle, set speed/distance alerts for guest drivers, and send you the lock/unlock status after turning your vehicle off. Lexus Enform Remote is optimized for your smartphone but not for tablets.
Lexus Enform Remote features include:
REMOTE DOOR LOCK & UNLOCK: Not sure if you remembered to lock your vehicle? Now, you can remotely lock and unlock your doors and receive confirmation if the action was successful.
REMOTE ENGINE START & STOP: Whether it’s a cold morning or hot afternoon, this feature lets you remotely start your vehicle to warm or cool the interior†. The engine will run for up to 10 minutes or until any door is opened, the brakes are pressed, or the engine is turned off remotely. PLEASE NOTE: If you are experiencing a low battery in app message prompt, see your Lexus Dealer or contact Lexus Customer Satisfaction at 1-800-25-Lexus for more information.
VEHICLE FINDER: The days of walking in circles through a parking lot are over. The Vehicle Finder uses the map on your smartphone to provide navigation to your vehicle’s location.
VEHICLE STATUS & ALERTS: With the touch of a button, you can remotely check the vehicle’s fuel level, odometer or trip mileage and current status of your windows, doors, trunk, moonroof and convertible top. The system can also notify you with customizable alerts.
GUEST DRIVER MONITOR: For added peace of mind when a guest borrows your vehicle, Lexus Enform Remote can send alerts if the vehicle is started or exceeds preset limits on speed, curfew, miles driven, distance from a set location, and time spent driving.
† Upon ignition, climate control functions will default to the last known settings.

Was going to buy this app, but...
I just bought a 2015 ES 350 yesterday and was excited about purchasing this app, even at $250/yr. However, after reading many of the reviews, I've decided to wait until Lexus gets it together to get this app up and running properly. It's just not worth taking the risk to buy the app with so many problems...especially at $250/yr. Note: I'm not really concerned with the fact that the vehicle shuts off when you open the door; I think that is an ideal safety feature. For crying out loud, all you have to do is push a button to start it again. Quit your whining about that one, people. However, my concerns are with so many of the other complaints (i.e. slow to respond, having to enter the password multiple times, poor messaging/alert capabilities, etc.).
Needs a lot of work
Sorry to pile on but after delivery of a new car you want things to work. Received confirmation last night and I figured the app would be useful here at the football game when my wife goes back to car at half time and I tell her I can open the car just text me
Well network connection is slow and it's not do to my coverage/service. Won't connect and since I can't get the functionality when needed it only demonstrates the need for improvement
Have to agree that Lexus needs to put some coders on this app/job and make it better especially if they expect to generate revenue, which is shameful in the first place
Works well but insanely overpriced service
Remote start and door lock works as designed. I like the vehicle status and information metrics, too. A little slow but not a deal breaker. Maybe Viper and other smartphone remotes take 30-45 seconds to respond, too.
The deal breaker is what Lexus charges for the service after the first (complimentary) year. Even my Lexus salesperson said he'd never buy it and most of his customers don't, either.
