A bit confused but it’s a good app

MyLastSong

I just got my first 4K Smart TV. I’ve never owned a Smart TV before and I’ve seen conflicting information. The latest update says it now supports WebOS 4.0 but my 55UJ7700 says it’s on version 4.70 so what’s up with that? And when I search for when WebOS 4.0 is coming I see results from December asking if it is coming in 2018. So what is going on? Does my TV not have WebOS 4? And the version number 4.70 doesn’t apply to the WebOS version? I have even see videos from 3 years ago talking about how WebOS 4.0 was released so I’m super confused

Looked more into it and apparently that’s my TV’s firmware version. LG please think about adding in the version number for WebOS into the About section on your TVs. Having the firmware version is nice and all but it would be really nice to see the WebOS version

trackpad too small

AKA N

i have used the app since i got my smart tv a year ago, and i have to say the new update offers better performance i.e. connection stays on or faster reconnection, if necessary; better user interface in overall, faster or almost in-sync mouse response. however, the trackpad should not be limited to just a small box since it’s already on phone screen which is smaller than a computer. the design should not imitate that of a physical computer trackpad. let the entire screen be the trackpad as it used to be, and the users would not lose access to the trackpad or back button when a text box was prompting (keyboard appears and prevent further action unless UNNECESSARILY pressing return button). i will give 5 stars if this issues are fixed in the future updates.

Same app, different format with one important feature removed.

francotira

This seems to be the same app with just a different layout. The one important feature that is missing is that it doesn’t show the IP address of your TV. This is really frustrating to me because I have two LG TVs and I used to be able to tell which one I was connecting to based on IP address now I don’t know which one I’m trying to connect to. And the order of the TVS changes so I can’t even use that to narrow down. I wish I hadn’t updated.
