Easy to use, Update fixed bug!

Really happy about the update that now allows you to select page to jump to in search results. Also app doesn't seem to get lost in search results anymore. Great update!

I like the format, it's somewhat simpler than original Overdrive app. Although the features I use are the same. The biggest draw is I can combine info from multiple libraries in a single area. However one major bug trips me up and drags it down to 3 stars. When searching, if you go down several levels (i.e. Search by publisher, select a book to view, then select all books by the same author) the app gets completely lost if you try to go back to the previous list. You have to start completely from the beginning. Really annoying if you're on page 8 of a search result. Because the app has no way of jumping forward in search results, you have to go from page 1 to page 2 and so on.

A step in the right direction

Thank you for including a text search function! But this app is still a ways away from being usable. The menus are really distracting to use. There is no page number or clock on the screen. The screen can't be dimmed. And the large text is not sharp, but changing the font did help with that... It's not possible to zoom in on the cover or any graphics, either. When is OverDrive going to bring back that function?
Update: the developer replied. Thank you, but I do know how to use my phone and an e-reader app! I know how to dim my screen. Why doesn't the app have that function? And, what is the purpose of leaving useful info like page number and number of pages remaining in the chapter off the page I'm reading? Why should I have to tap every time? Or, better, tap and hold? Real books have page numbers...!

Jury is Still Out

April 9, 2017 Review Update: The developers emailed me about renewing and returning books. They said if I'm using Overdrive or Kindle at the same time as Libby, those features may be locked in Libby due to publisher requirements.

So I tried checking a book out with Libby instead of Overdrive. I was able to Return it just fine.

The only other feature I need is my wish list. It looks like I'll have to search and tag each item from my Overdrive wishlist in Libby. #Wishlist

Older Review: Jury is Still Out
Bottom Line: Friendlier interface, better reading experience compared to Overdrive. Somewhat easier navigation. Missing a couple basics, so sticking with Overdrive for now.

I think Libby must still be in development because it's missing the ability to renew and return eBooks. So for now, it's Overdrive for me. I'll check in with Libby as newer versions are released.

Maybe that's not the apps fault. Possibly it's an implementation issue with my library?

Renewing and returning (whether early or on time) eBooks are not options on my library's website either, so Overdrive is still essential.
