Description
Lift Log is the simplest, easiest to use, and most beautifully designed app to track all of your workouts.
From the Developer:
I built Lift Log because I was displeased with all the other workout tracking apps on the App Store. Other apps made me input my routine before using the app, create workouts before recording data, and more annoying tasks that forced me to focus on the app more than on my workout. Lift Log is different. Record your sets easily and effortlessly, usually with only two taps. Reference graphs to track your progress over time. Add workouts on the fly, no need to configure anything just start lifting and start logging. Download the app and give it a try, I’m sure you’ll be happy your did.
Lift Log is built for both beginners and experts, Lift Log provides everything you need to track your progress and get stronger. Its simple and intuitive design allows you to effortlessly record your workouts as quickly as possible, so you can focus on getting in those extra reps.
FEATURES:
- Minimalist interface, simpler than any other fitness app on the App Store
- Type in any routine and Lift Log remembers it and starts tracking it forever
- Graphs show your progress over time

Only 2 things could make this app perfect
Let me start by saying I've tried about 10 other workout logging apps and this is by far my personal favorite.
The interface is great, easy to use. It's not cluttered which is one of my favorite things about this app. It's sleek and minimalistic. The functionality is perfect, it's never shut down on me. I like the color scheme it's simple, which makes it look less cluttered.
The only thing that would make it better would be if 1, I could copy and paste my workout regimen. Sometimes if a machine is being occupied at the gym I'll skip it until it becomes available. Though sometimes I'll forget and not do that specific workout altogether. So if my workout for the day was listed and if I could just fill in the weight & reps it would be awesome. The other thing would be a "start workout and complete workout" so the workouts are properly bunched up. Due to my employment i have to workout around 22:00 or 23:00 and don't finish my workout until past 00:00 therefore my workout day getting split in two. So the next week when I have to repeat that workout it gets confusing distinguishing what workout was done on which day.
Don't get me wrong, this is still the best workout log app I've tried. Even if those features aren't added I'll still continue to use this app.
Charts + other fixes coming soon!
Jake here - I made Lift Log. At the time of this writing there are a couple of reviews explaining some shortcomings with the current version of Lift Log and I wanted an easy way to address those issues. I figured I'd review my own app so everything would be in the same place. I give myself only 4 stars, for two reasons:
1) Overlapping labels bug - sorry. I don't know what else to say. I just got the iPhone 7+ and forgot to test on smaller phones. Good news: this is an easy fix, only 5 min of work.
ETA: 3-4 days (until the new version of the app gets approved, processed and listed)
2) Missing charts feature - there was an update to iOS that broke the charts section and I didn't have enough time to rebuild it before winter break ended. I know everyone misses this feature and its coming back soon as a Lift Log Pro feature. In the meantime I added a search bar at the top of the home screen for an easy way to quickly see your lifting history for a movement. I know it isn't as visually appealing as a graph, but stay tuned, it'll be worth the wait.
ETA: ~4 weeks. It would normally be sooner but my last semester at school just started and I'm not going to have too much time on my hands 😬
As always, get in touch through Lift Log if you have any Qs.
🍻 cheers!
Easy to use and works well!
I'm a three day a week CrossFitter and I needed something to track my lifts. I tried pen and paper but I find this app to be way better. Rather than searching back through pages to find a lift and the weight you used you can just type in the first few letters and it pulls all the entries you have made for that exercise. Easy peasy!
I wish you could log for a previous day ... I forgot to log yesterday and had to log it as today. Not a huge deal but would be nice.
I know it's a lift log, but I wish it had the ability to log named WODs (Cindy, Fran, etc.) ... I make it work but it would be nice. :)
