Customer Reviews

Most Accurate iPhone Lux Meter: matches reality.

This is the only one of 6 iPhone light meters which matched a real Lux meter:
I purchased several light/ Lux meters for my iPhone, while planning lighting changes to a bathroom and a kitchen, but I found that none of them agreed (in the same place on a counter, one said 1,200 Lux, and another said 50 Lux. I bit the bullet and bought an $80 real Lux meter, and the results are always correct and repeatable. This light meter matches the expensive one, within about 5–10 percent, good enough for home repair and planning. The others I tried are way off.

Accuracy questionable

I wonder how many of these reviews are legitimate. The readings I am getting aren't very accurate. In the brightest sunlight it reads about 6,500 lux, where it should be around 100,000 lux. Either the readings are inaccurate, or the units are actually foot candles, in which case would make more sense. The interface is very clean and professional. I will update my review with the next update in response to reading accuracy improvements.

Accuracy Matches Colormunki

My X-Rite Colormunki was reporting a low measure of lumens in what I thought was a fairly bright area. I purchased this app to see if the reading matched my Colormunki ambient light measure and it was within 30 lumens. I’d say this is fairly accurate.
