What's New in Version 1.7
Added new feature: - Count Down Alert alerts user when a designated period of time is about to elapse.
Users can match the count down duration with the long exposure time set on their camera to get audible alert when the exposure time is about to elapse while doing light painting.
When switched ON, new Count Down Alert starts to count down silently once user tapped the OK button to leave the settings view of Light Painting(*). Light Painting will produce audible alert when the count down approaches the LAST 5 seconds of the designated count down duration.
Available count down durations (seconds): 15, 30, 60
Changing the Count Down Alert settings will cancel the currently active count down.
(*) If there is already an active Count Down Alert, switching to and from the settings view will NOT start a new alert. The active alert simply continues unless user changed the Count Down Alert settings.
(**) 1st Generation iPod touch requires headphone or external speakers to utilize Count Down Alert.
(***) Count Down Alert defaults to OFF whenever Light Painting is launched.
I don't think you guys understand what this app is. It's not, I repeat NOT a doodle app. Nor is it a camera extension. First of all, for the people who are on the completely wrong track, google 'light painting' and look at the images. This is a tool to help you create beautiful, colorful light paintings. Second, you need a separate camera that can take slow shutters. Third, here's my review: I love the settings, and how you can change the speed and color variations. I love how the rainbow setting turns out. This is a useful app! Much better than using a boring ol' yellow flashlight. Whenever I use it, I get hooked onto it and spend the rest of the day taking pictures. There are many options for many different kind of appearances. It is original, and handy for photographers or art maniacs. I don't think there's anything bad I can say about it so far! Lastly, sorry to the people who bought this app, unsure what it even was. Take this as constructive critisism, but learn how to inspect before you buy an app :) it helps!
Wow, this app is AMAZING! People that are upset about it don't understand the concept of painting with light [photography]. Anyways, I've created so many cool pictures with this app and it was WAY worth 2 dollars-
If you don't know what painting with light exactly is, I recommend that you look it up on Google [LIKE IT SAID IN THE DESCRIPTION] before you buy this so you know what you're getting into. It's really cool!
Hmmm the only thing I could think of to fix was mentioned in another review about the delay going to the menu.
Other than that, add more lights [shades] and stuff if possible :] Oo shapes would be cool~
Perfect Photography Tool
It blows my mind that people would leave reviews because they themselves didn't take the time to properly understand what the app is for. It's for photographers who have an ADVANCED knowledge of SLR or DSLR long exposure photography. It's not a doodle app. Clearly. I've used this app for years now whenever I want to achieve cool light painting in my long exposures. So fun!
