LightBlue can test all of your devices that use Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (also known as Bluetooth Smart, or Bluetooth Light).
LightBlue has two modes, Central and Peripheral. In Central mode you can scan and connect to all devices around you. You can also clone any peripheral you connect to and make that clone a peripheral of LightBlue. In peripheral mode, your iOS devices simulates your peripheral hardware. You can add and rename services and characteristics.
Full support of read, write, and notify is included. You can view the signal strength (RSSI) to get an idea of how close you are to the peripheral.
Use this to test your new BLE Heart Rate Monitor, temperature sensor, TI CC2540 Keyfob, Nordic uBlue, Panasonic PAN1720, etc.
Developers can use LightBlue to test the hardware or firmware of their BTLE peripherals.

Found My Husband’s Fitbit
My husband told me that he lost his Fitbit while working in the yard a few days earlier. We have a large yard with many plants and bushes. He said there would be no way to find it since he has been all over the yard in the last few days. I wan’t so convinced. I got online and found this app. I walked all around in the general area that he thought he may have lost it—nothing. So I began waling all over the yard. After 5 minutes or so I picked up a Charge signal. I was able to get a stronger signal about 15 yards away. I looked all over but couldn’t find the FB. His IOS FB sync wasn’t working on his iPhone so I couldn’t sync. We tried again the next day and he found the FB at the base of a large azalea bush. We could have never found the FB without this app!
Helped Me Find My Fitbit. Thank you
I had lost my fitbit. After a week of searching the house and yard for it, I downloaded this app and was able to find my fitbit within an hour. Thankfully my fitbit still had some low battery power so it was still broadcasting a signal. What would improve the app would be a rescan or refresh button and instructions. It took me a bit to figure out what the ??? and - meant vs. the fitbit name going gray with no symbol. To refresh or rescan I had to close and reopen the app. Once I had the app down, then I found where my fitbit had landed. Thank you for a great app.
Found my flex Fitbit with in 10-15 mins
Wow, I spent hours looking for my Fitbit. I turned to my dashboard to see if I could track it. This app was what Fitbit referred. I was a little confused, but thought maybe the -97 was distance. I started walking around and the number got smaller. It was about 2 mins of walking around and there is was under my husbands car. I am so grateful!! Thank you to the genius that invited this app!!
