This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
The A.C.T.I.O.N. Center (Acting with Citizens To Improve Our Neighborhoods) can be used to report issues within the city limits of Lincoln, Nebraska. Issues such as graffiti, junk cars, potholes and streetlights out. Submissions are routed directly to the responsible department(s). Citizens can check the status of their submission and review the photo and location if this information has been provided.
What's New in Version 1.2
The ability to view and track reports that you've submitted in the past, as well as updates and fixes for iOS 7.
Good app, but...
The idea behind the app is a good one. The app itself is a good one, but it could be better. It needs an optional line to provide an email address (in case you want a response), the tracking numbers & PINs should be stored where the user can see them, and there should be someway to know if the problem was fixed, other than going back to the location of the pothole or whatever to see that it's been repaired. I got a warning message when I first opened the app, saying that it would not be compatible with future versions of iOS. Also, the picture that I submitted appears pixelated on their web site when I view the report. But it essentially does what it's supposed to do.
While the user interface feels a bit clunky, it's great to have an app to be able to report something right away and even take a picture of it as well. More than once I have reported a pothole on one day to find it filled the very next day. Way to go, Lincoln!
So, fellow Lincolnites, what share this app and have even more people use it in order to help keep our city great.
Good app, even when running it in compatibility mode on my iPad, however more functionality would be nice on the iPad. A public works submission should be added so that problems with things like bus stops can be submitted as well.
