linesmART is the fastest and easiest way to turn your photo into a beautiful line art rendering. simply load a photo and let linesmART do the rest.
supports a wide variety of input formats. from pdf, jpg, tiff, to png. exports a png with alpha channel at the input resolution.
this app is free and very powerful. the output image is exactly the same size and resolution as your input image. the canvas is a preview ! all multi-touch transformations will not render in the output image as they only effect the preview. this is so that you can use images of a much higher resolution than your screen.
please comment if you use it.
What's New in Version 1.7.4
• video help
• snow leopard backwards compatibility
• updated interface
Weird freaky photo transformations.
I was surprised by the very simple interface at first. Thought it couldn't do much...
But then I fiddled around with the sliders a little. Such a variety of outcomes for one photo! And it makes everything look a little freaky. I like freaky.
Only one output type: .png
But that's a good one, I guess. And you could always open that with a different program and convert.
Pay no attention to the way it distorts the proportions of your photo in the preview window. It'll export correctly. And, as another reviewer already pointed out, this works better for animal photos than for people. I like what it does to landscapes, too.
Really fun thing. Must be added that portrait photos would be much better to use with the tool than landscape photos
Snow Leopard backwards compatiblity?
I am running Snow Leopard to keep older software working. This says it requires OS X.VII but then it says that it has Snow Leopard (OS X.VI) backwards compatiblity. Please clearify. My rating is not something to pay attention to. It was required to comment.
