Description

We’re the team who created SparkNotes back in the distant past, before iPhones even existed. Since then we moved on, technology and school have changed, while SparkNotes have… stayed exactly the same.

So we created LitCharts for today’s students. The LitCharts app has tons of features nobody else offers:

•The only all free lit guide app. Seriously, every guide is free.

•All the books you read in school. 400+ titles, and the app automatically updates to include each new guide we publish.

•Always ad free. No ads to distract your reading or kill your battery.

•Deeper understanding. Our summary and analysis appear side-by-side, meaning you get instant understanding of every plot point.

•The perfect quotes. Our quotes are sortable by character, chapter, and theme, so you can always quickly find just what you need.

•Theme tracking. With our visual theme tracking, you’ll be able to follow (and explain) how themes develop throughout each book.

•Quick-reference. Easily jump between summary, analysis, characters, themes, quotes, and symbols. Get a complete understanding, easily.

•Speed. Never again wait in agony for that page to load as precious seconds tick away...

•Off-line access. LitCharts is the only series of literature guides that works everywhere you are—even offline.

Millions of students are getting better grades by reading LitCharts every month. Come join us!

What's New

Version 2.0

Based on your feedback, we've redesigned and rebuilt the LitCharts iOS app from the ground up. Some of the many helpful new features include:

•Every book: The app now syncs with the LitCharts website, so all 400+ books appear in the app, and the app updates whenever we add new books.
•iPad support: The app is now universal, so you can use it on any iOS device and it'll still look great.
•Helpful links: Tap on any symbol, character, or theme box link and an explanation appears without having to load another page.

If you have any suggestions or ideas for future app improvements, hit us up here: http://litcharts.com/contact or on Twitter (@litcharts).

And if the app helps you out, help us continue improving it by rating us in the App Store.

Thanks!

Amazing app!

Rangers 2012

I have been using LitCharts for a decent amount of time and after exploring the LitCharts website I found out there was an app. I was pleasantly surprised because I have been using Google Docs to view LitCharts and I wanted a different way to look at the summaries. This app is great, and allows me to easily view all my LitCharts. Thanks you to all the great staff working at LitCharts.

Love this app! The few times I've used websites to study I haven't liked the time wasted loading and the struggle to access. This app is fast, organized, and perfect for studying. I sent an email giving a suggestion, and the response I received from the staff was prompt, helpful, and polite. Highly recommend!

Amazing!

One word to describe this app would be amazing! It's very similar to Sparknotes and it's free. It tells you the plot, chapter summaries, symbolism, character summaries, themes, important quotes, analysis and summary. Plus it even shows you how to cite from it in different formats like MLA, APA, and Chicago Manual citation. The appearance is sharp and friendly. This app is very helpful and amazing!
