Introduce your children to Spanish with our favorite panda pal, Little Pim! Designed for native English speakers who are interested in learning Spanish, “Little Pim Spanish” helps young children develop basic vocabulary about eating and drinking, playing and sharing, and sleeping and waking. The app introduces your child to a total of 60 Spanish words and phrases.
THREE KIDS LEARNING GAMES IN ONE
“Little Pim Spanish” includes three interactive games: (1) Eating and Drinking, (2) Playtime, and (3) Wake Up Smiling. In addition, each game includes three levels of play, covering basic nouns (level one), verbs (level two), and short phrases (level three).
The method in each game level is to first demonstrate the vocabulary word or phrase both visually and aurally, then to help the player acquire the vocabulary, and lastly to validate and reinforce the newly acquired knowledge. Animation and interactivity help provide context in this immersive language learning experience.
ABOUT LITTLE PIM SPANISH
The “Little Pim Spanish” app was developed by Tribal Nova in partnership with PBS and Little Pim Corporation, producers of the LITTLE PIM foreign language immersion series. Winner of 22 industry awards, LITTLE PIM uses the Entertainment Immersion Method (TM), which introduces and reinforces simple words and phrases for everyday activities. As a spanish literature major in college, my wife and I decided very early on that Spanish was a must for our three boys. They are 6, 4 and 2. Although it's advanced for the little one, the other two love the games interaction, concepts and we appreciate the learning. This has been hugely beneficial and has helped them advance their skills tremendously. Thank you for coming out with such an appropriately incredible app. We can't wait for version II. Kudos to Litle Pim for getting this one right!
Worst Spanish learning game I've seen yet
There are 9 levels of picture recognition and it's so easy you could do it with the sound off. It lasted less than 30 minutes before we were through all the content. And neither my daughter or myself learned anything. The vocabulary covered is disjointed and everything but the vocabulary words is in English (not immersion learning). Also the games are all the same for each level (about 4 different ways to pick a picture out of a line up). The choices are either the picture you just saw on the screen before, or a picture you've not yet seen (obvious answer). By the end of the game my 5-year-old wasn't even waiting for the words to be spoken - she was just clicking pictures. Not recommended at all.
Little Pim Spanish
Great app, and totally appropriate for my 3-year old. I've been looking for a fun and full Spanish language app for her for a while. My daughter loves this one - she's completely engaged, she loves the panda and his bag, and the teaching method seems very well thought out. Highly recommended!
