Description

Make GIF and Movie from your Live Photos.

Lively lets you make GIF and Movie from Live Photos at ease. You can now share your Live Photos with your friends on iMessage, Facebook Messenger, Twitter, Slack, Tumblr and more.

Lively gives you full control of your GIFs with extensive editing features: trim, play backward, auto reverse and speed control. GIF size too big? You can make it smaller too. Last by not least, full 3D Touch support. Gotta press that screen.

Oh, you can pick a single frame from the video part to save. Your child moves right the moment you take the shot? No worry, just grab the right frame from the video. All that, with correct metadata as the original Live Photo.

Lively lets you export for free with a watermark. A single in-app purchase allows you to remove the watermark.

Important: You need an iPhone 6S/6S Plus or above to capture Live Photos. You can still use the app on older iPhone, just get your friends to send you one via iMessage.

Disappointed in frame capture - not apps fault

I purchased this app because my significant other isn't too steady when taking photos. Using Live Photos with an ability to chose the best frame *seemed* like a good choice--and for photos to post or send to friends it isn't bad. However...

I wasn't aware that Live photos are actually two items in one. The image itself is a full sized JPEG file, while the 'movie' information is in a .MOV file format with a frame size of 1080 x 1440. This means that a frame taken from the Live Photo will not contain all information that is available from the camera--it contains a resized image with far less information.

For the stated purpose of this app, it does a pretty good job and I'm not sorry I purchased it. But be aware that using it to capture a frame and then delete the original Live Photo to save space will result in a loss of information and a reduction in the size of the image.

If saving gif read this

Here's what I found. As others have said, if you save an animated gif it only saves a still image to your camera roll. But when I emailed a gif to myself, rather than saving to the camera roll, I got an animated gif that I could then do whatever I wanted to right from email. (Just force-press the gif in your email). Not great, but it works.
Original post (2 stars then):
If you are looking for a way to export your Live Photos as an animated gif this program won't do that, whatever it may say. If/when they fix it or don't suggest it does it, I'll update my review. It exports them as movies just fine though.

It works when it can find the photo

iPhone 7 on iOS 10.1. I downloaded this app to convert a live photo to gif, however, lively doesn't treat this photo as live so I won't be able to see it in lively... then I enabled the extension but it still didn't do anything... worth mentioning the extension doesn't work on Live Photos lively recognizes in the app.

I tried another photo in lively app and it has some pretty neat features when converting. sharing it around is tricky... but I don't think I should blame lively since not all apps support gif anyways. I finally found a way to share the gif with my friends on WeChat.

It's a cool app which definitely needs improvements.
