Hey iPhone 5S users. We’ve added a cool activity tracking feature that will automatically track your daily calories using the new M7 chip from Apple.
And last but not least, share your progress graph on Email, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to show off those lost pounds.
I love this app! Keeps me in check!
This app, if followed properly can give you great results week after week as long as you're eating the amount of calories it recommends! A lot of people take the app and make up their own calorie intakes but I recommend you follow the app! Eating too little will burn you out. You need energy to not only live but to work out too! If you don't have the energy you won't be able to work out as hard.
The only thing I would recommend is for the app to add a place where it will tell me how many grams of protein I've eaten a day and how many grams of fat. Currently it only adds up the calories but calories are not the only thing that matters. Sure we want to stay within a certain percentage of proteins to carbs and to fats. at the end of the day though if your protein percentage is 50% but all you've eaten is 50grams of protein then that's not enough. I think adding a place where I can find out my totals for everything on the nutrition label would be really helpful but for now I'll just accept the total of fats and proteins and calories.
Best thus far but not as good as Fitday PC
Large food database and easy to maneuver. Remembers frequent and recent foods.
Ability to add previous foods in SAME quantity as previously.
Blank water tracking (annoying to have to delete the std 8 oz every time to add in My glass sz)
Track MACRONUTRIENTS really important for me to track my OVERALL protein, carbs, and fat intake.
Track weight better - because it has graphs from 1lb total weight losing 10 lbs barely shows up on the graph!
Have option that calculates nutrients/calories from recipes
Track minerals/vitamins from food intake and compare to daily needs
Report/track previous days calorie intake and compare to weight loss
Ability to enter more foods per meal instead of having to select each meal each time enter more food (this is annoying when adding up components of a dish)
Overall I like this BUT I have looked elsewhere because it does not track overall macronutrients. it does not function as well by tracking as much data as the FitDay PC version (app version very limited) but is faster to use. It does still crash on me even with the paid version.
Easy to use; Good Food database
I've used this app for a couple of years. They've made nice improvements over time, making it easier and easier to use. Tracking food is easy and quick. Entering your weight, charting progress and setting goals is excellent. I find keeping the numbers in front of you is the best way to lose or maintain weight.
Here's the crazy thing. This app actually motivates me to exercise. Not because of the health effects, but I love getting the calorie credit so I can eat more and stay within my daily calorie target!
***** UPDATE *****
Unfortunately, so of the latest user interface enhancements have actual taken the app backwards. Tracking your weight was just fine, down to the tenth of a pound. For some reason they thought their new interface was easier to enter information...but it's not. You also can see exactly what your last weight entry was given the rounding. Bring back the old design, it was better. Rating drops by 1 Star
